God Allows U Turns

Yep, you saw correctly. God allows U turns. It was on a bumper sticker of a cab I saw today, and on this exact day, that bumper sticker had a profound effect on me unlike any other. Why today? Why, out of many days, that this bumper sticker came to existence. Maybe it had always been around but I never got a chance to see. So, yes, God does communicate to you in subtle yet very profound ways!

It is September, 2011, I have totally forgotten when was my last entry, not that anyone is keeping count anyway. And so many things have happened this year that I'm still catching my breath just to keep my head wrapped around it. Let's see, went to Europe, came back from Europe, Shawal graduated, came back from Europe, Ramadhan came, and Ramadhan went, Hari raya came and went, cousins from Perth came and went, Mayam celebrated her 30th birthday last week, and work has just been piling up, our DCEO resigned, Adele topping the charts.. oh well.. what else is new..?

Met some incredible folks along the way, trying to reconnect to long lost friends, trying to stay away from people I can't really connect with (it's not you, you're perfect, it's me) .. and simply trying to just be sane among all this chaos.

I rarely get a chance to express all this things....and I really don't know who or where to go... I know I can always count on my bestie Mayam for me to vent, but sometimes time doesn't always allow it.. In actual truth, I don't really know HOW to vent... even during my high school days, I was always quiet, but will write out all my fury in my diaries.. oh well, certain habits do die hard...

Among other things, to link back to the objective of the day, God Allows U turn, I really believe we only answer to God, make peace in your heart and know that you have made the right decision in your life, and always remember, you can always U turn, when you think you've gone too far.

On another hand, I really wish I can have that job - designing bumper stickers. =)

BBQ! and Sweet Tree!

Yesterday night we went for BBQ seafood dinner at Pandan, Cempaka. Sorry no pics of the food coz we ate them all as soon as they came to our table, but just to share some of the menu was, black pepper crabs, curry fried prawn and squid, tomyam seafood, BBQ squid, kangkong belacan, fried rice, 4 coconut drinks etc, all for RM 190 for 6 ppl. Not bad price for the delicious and abundant food!

After that we went to an awesome place name Sweet Tree, if you are familiar with Ampang, this sweet place is located  along a row of shophouses in front of Ampang Putra condo, we had very affordable multi flavored sorbets, and caramel macchiatos all around. They also have local delicacies, and even private function rooms on the 2nd floor, we will definitely go again! We played games, and had good clean, happy fun with loving ppl! (Sudin came by later to join us!)

Holiday Mood!

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my chinese friends! Celebration is just around the corner and we are all feeling it! From the endless SALEs in shopping malls all around KL, from clothes, to furniture, to heavy duty appliances, and the lack of traffic in the city as well, it's a clear sign that we are about to experience CNY which will come once a year! It's normally a 2 day public holiday, and this year it falls on Thursday and Friday, which means... LONG WEEKEND! Yeay! I'm so proud to be Malaysian hehehe! Be prepared for the gong xi fa cai songs, lion dances, boxes of mandarin oranges, CNY decorations and etc, and the only difference this year is that this year is the year of the rabbit, hence understandbly there are giant rabbits everywhere!

   
The holiday mood is so heavy in the air and it is dangerously contagious, it's so contagious that it is also effecting the whether! Yes, there's heavy downpour everywhere (plus Australia as well) but it certainly didn't damper our high spirits. And lo behold, at work, we got our first, of many CNY treats to come!
